What This Policy Covers

This policy explains what information TixTracer collects when you use the site, how it's used, and the choices you have. TixTracer helps you search and compare live event ticket prices across Ticketmaster and SeatGeek, and offers optional tools to bookmark events, track price history, and receive email alerts when a price drops.

Information We Collect

We collect only what's needed to make the features you actually use work:

• Tracked/bookmarked events: when you star an event, we store its name, date, venue, and the price you saw, so we can show it back to you and check for price drops.
• Price alert emails: if you set up a price alert, we store the email address you provide, solely to send you that alert. We don't use it for marketing and don't share it with anyone else.
• Approximate location: if you allow it, your browser shares your location so we can show events near you. You can decline this and enter a city manually instead.
• Recent searches: stored locally in your own browser (not on our servers) so you can quickly repeat a past search.
• Basic technical logs: standard web server logs (like IP address and request timestamps) generated automatically by hosting infrastructure, used only for debugging and security, not for tracking individuals.

What We Don't Do

• We don't require an account or password to use TixTracer.
• We don't sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
• We don't use third-party advertising trackers or ad networks.
• We don't process payments or handle ticket purchases directly. When you buy a ticket, you're redirected to Ticketmaster's or SeatGeek's own site, and their privacy policies govern that transaction.

Third-Party Services

To show you ticket prices, TixTracer sends your search terms (like an artist name or city) to the Ticketmaster and SeatGeek APIs. Neither of those searches includes your personal identity. When you click through to buy a ticket, you leave TixTracer entirely and interact directly with that site under its own privacy policy and terms.

Data Storage & Retention

Tracked events and price alert emails are stored in a database on our server for as long as you keep that event tracked. You can remove a tracked event at any time, which deletes it from our records. Recent searches and some display preferences are stored only in your browser's local storage and never reach our servers. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information TixTracer stores, but no website or internet transmission is ever completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• See what information we have connected to a tracked event or alert
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Withdraw consent, where applicable

California Privacy Notice

California residents may have additional rights under California privacy law, including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information. TixTracer is a very early-stage, one-person project and may not meet the legal thresholds that make CCPA/CPRA fully applicable, but we'll still honor a reasonable privacy request from anyone who sends one.

Children's Privacy

TixTracer is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of TixTracer after a change means you accept the updated policy.
